How much is the Baleia Bus to hire for events?
We will bring the bus to your event (such as a concert, wedding or party) and serve drinks. We are happy to discuss costs for the bus. Just get in contact here and we will create a bespoke package for  you.

Why did you buy a VW Bus?
We felt that it was more sustainable to buy an old vehicle and put in modern equipment, rather than buy something built new. While the bus is over 50 years old, she has many more years of life in her.

Can I sleep on the bus?
No. The Baleia Bus is not licensed for sleeping in.

Can I hire the bus for a photo-shoot?
Yes you can. The minimum hire is for 1 day and we supply a driver (for insurance purposes).

Can I drive the bus?
No. But you can order a G&T from it

Inspired by Ali’s love of cars, from the earliest of day, he was obsessed. Eventually he would go on to work for Nissan and RedBull in Formula 1.

With childhood memories in mind, he found an old, unloved VW bus. Luckily it had been stored in a barn for many years, and it was an original T1 VW Combi. From there it was sent it to Ireland to be converted into our mobile bar to serve Baleia drinks here on the island of São Miguel.
